We caught these a week or two ago in Aplins. Not much of a story to accompany the pics except that we dropped three more that evening. The first of which was a good fish that spent most of the fight airborne- much like a Tarpon on steroids...alot of steroids.

Nice fish mate. Did you get them on baits or lures?

Well done lads! They're great fish!
I'll have to sneak out one of these nights and give the sp's a swim in the fresh...
Cheers,
Brian.

Curmudgeon, no need to wait til nightfall, just give it a go late afternoon. Try Slickrigs in 'Dropbear'- no bigger than 110mm though. Let us know how you fare.
While we're on the topic of Slickrigs, anyone come across the "new" lightweight ones- or are they just among those new Pro Range Squidgies?

Good fish guys, a mate got an 87cm from aplins recently on 2kg line, don't know how he kept it clear of the reeds!. They are both nice fish too.
