I would be very interested to hear people's opinion on this too.. I am in the market for a middle of the range fish finder / sounder and GPS. I think I may get an all in one - but interested to hear pro's and cons.. I want something that is functional and reliable but dont need bling just to say I have tne best either.

The cheapest option I found was a Matrix 17 or 27 from the USA for au$250. You can add the gps option for about $100. All up, thats about half price compared to local. They are in feet not metres, and degrees farenhiet, and need to go back to usa if they need warranty.
Google will find you plenty of dealers in this price range.

Guys rember with a combo, unit plays up you loose both, also it pays to spend a few dollars to get reliabilty, clear defenitions and colour which beleave me is well worth the money. My advice would be to surf google, try qmoe on the net,or shop in the us. Polky.
