Hi guys,
Haven't been around much lately, but hopefully all the guru's our there can maybe give me some tips.
I am taking the family (our 2 kids 11 & 3) and also their tag alongs (3 kids 13, 11 & 10) camping down at Lake Leslie near Warwick over the January holiday period for a week.
Has anybody camped down there at the park before? If so how was it, by looking at the website seems great but as we all know looks can be deceiving! ;)
Can anybody give me some advice and ideas in keeping them all entertained for the week.
Thanks guys, nice to be back

Hi
Great little spot. Have a look at these. I imagine it will be quite dry at the moment.

Been to the the camp ground a few times and it is a nice spot with adequate shade.

It can get pretty crowded sometimes (usually long week-ends etc) but a great spot.
You can launch the boat and pitch the tent within 10m of each other if you like.
No need to launch and retrieve each day.
The swimming is good and clean because of the deco-granite bottom and live bait (aka shrimps) can be caught easily.
I just hope some water gets in it before much longer.

leslie is a really nice spot for family camping. the camp area is really quite large and there is a supply of firewood. the water is a long way from the camp ground though and i dont think id be leaving my boat in the water during such a busy time as it would be quite hard to see. pleanty of yellowbelly in there though and being quite small they never seem to be hard to find

Aren't you allowed to camp on the waters edge anymore??
Bummer if you can't :P

You can but there is no shelter, no toilet block and the firewood is a long way away. the designated camp ground where the water would be if full is really nice but a few hundred meters from the water.
