Hi Timddo
it all depends on what you intend on targeting and what application your using it for and also what rod its on.
if your only trolling i reccomend running mono of between 8-15kg, this will be ample for everything from pesty mack tuna through to the run of small blacks we get through summer. my prefered monos are platypus lo stretch or berkley big game.
i your doing mostly bottom bashing i would suggest running braided line between 30-50lb, braided line has very minimal stretch thus giving you more sensitivity. braided line with circle hooks is a lethal combination, (just remember not to strike to hard at the fish with the circle hooks.) you can still troll using braided line. my favourite braid is tufline XP comes in either yellow or green (personal preference). don't fill the whole reel with braid as it will cost alot of money because of its reduced diameter. as a rough guide a tld 25 will hold abour 300m of 50lb raid with 200-250 of backing as for 30lb you can fit 4-500m of backing with 300m of braid on top.
hope that helped

15kg is a good all round line
don't use fireline on the overheads in my opinion, this line is more suited for light spinning reels. use true braid. Sean
