Max lb Rating for ABU 7000, 9000CL

Hi Team.

Want to use my ABUs for bottom bashing. Both have had the drag upgrades.

What max braking strain should I use in braid for bottom bashing - beofre I start to burn out these reels..?

ask whoever did the drag upgrade. I would be surprised if you could get more than 5-6 kg drag from the ABU7000. You could still run 50lb braid if you wanted to, and use your thumb when required.

If they are anything like my older ABU's I would be worried about the anti reverse pawl if using heavy drag settings and braid
