Here's a handy table i found in the NSW fisheries booklet.;)

Thanks for that Hardb8. ;) Do ya reackon it would be aimed more towards wild fish or impoundment fish (considering alot of impoundment bass are quite fat compared to wild ones)?

Thats really interesting and usable i find most of the wild bass i catch would eat the impoundment bass wild bass are so much fatter were i fish.
just thought id throw that in there

I know its only a guide, but its way out!
time of year, location, local food chain...there are a lot of variables that will affect the weight of the fish. I can remember a session not long ago where I caught a 36cm Bass that was 180 grams heavier then a 42cm Bass, figure that one out.
Also a few weeks back I caught a couple of 51cm Bass on the Clarence River and they would of been struggling to give the 1.5kg mark a nudge.
Heres another example...I caught a 46cm Bass at Lake Macdonald and she was fat, big shoulders, big gut, I am sure you get the idea...she came in at 1.61kg. A far cry from the 1.9kg in the guide.
But as its been said, its only a guide...even though its a bad one.
