I find that if you want bulk, and i mean bulk like a 1,000 or more, see your local tackle store and ask for a special price, I use only a couple of sizes and styles of hooks and if I get a complete box of boxes (if you get what I mean) the owner gets them in on the next order and gives me the lot for cost plus a couple of dollars to cover the mucking around, this can be done because all he is doing is ordering, then passing on a complete package, no opening, pricing, placing on shelves and so on.

Hi guys (sorry for taking over your thread Finga) Im after like bulk as in 200 hooks but just estuary hooks like long shanks and wide gap from about size 2/0 in both right through to size 6 or 8 in both. Any ideas? I have seen em on ebay but im a bit worried about quality.
Thanks and once again sorry for taking over a thread.

Thanks fella's for the ideas.
I will be after BIG boxes (1000) and mostly jighooks up to 4/0's and a few (say 200 each of them) up to 8/0.
So Mick your guy doesn't really suit me

OK, don't want to throw a blanket over this BUT 200 hooks is NOT bulk, it might be to a Kmart shopper who buys them in a packet of 10 or so, but to get good pricing you need to buy a whole box of boxes (most are 1,000 hooks) then you will get good prices, it is not as many as you think and if stored properly they will last forever (almost) and maybe get a couple of mates together and buy more! also remember that you will save more money over time because you will have all your hooks on hand and do not need to drive to the tackle shop to buy more (and maybe other stuff) it applies to sinkers and all sorts of common stuff, I always buy common small ball sinkers in 1,000 at a time, they cost Peanuts then and I have them in my "new tackle cupboard"

Yep, sure thing Noelm and quite understandable :)
I was looking at the 1000's in the smaller sizes (up to 4/0 or 5/0 and the 100's in the larger sizes (up to 8/0's)
Cheers mate :)
