G'day fishos,
I am looking for a long skinny shallow esky to use as a mackeral kill box. Ideally I figure it would have to be about 120cm long by 40cm wide and about 40cm tall.
I am hoping for a poly esky over fibreglass but beggars cant be choosers.
Has anyone seen an esky on the market similar to this?
Jack.

Mate i think eva-cool make a mackeral box with diamentions like that but it is fibrerglass, a lot lighter than polly and keeps ice longer although easier to damage.

Tunaticer,
Evakool Fibreglass eskies Model No. B125 - 1100 x 450 x 500 125lts 13kg. Tropical molded Plastic Ice Boxes Model No. T126 - 1145 x 560 x 455 126lts and Model No. T160 - 1145 x 560 x 530 160lts. Baileys used to make a fibreglass mackeral box too but don't know if they are still about. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys,
heading off to look at them now will let you know how i go tonight.
Its hard to find them narrow enough over that length. The width of the box cuts down on room in the boat more so than anything else.

I've got a Bailey's mackeral box. DOn't know if they still make them. A 50lb mack will fit in it just. Had it for about 12yrs. Been a great esky. Cost me about $500 from memory but was cheaper than stuffing around making one.

G'day fellas,
Did the rounds over the weekend and looked at every brand and catalogue i could find all of them too wide for what i need so I'm gonna build a glass one for myself.
I'm gonna fire off some emails to both poly and glass esky makers first and see if they want to do a prototype that would be more suitable to smaller boats. You never know.....they might take the challenge on for a new line.
