Hi All,
I launched mid arvo into the river for a session out at Mud. Began with a couple of drifts on the western side, but apart from the pickers all was quiet. I moved to the south side and anchored for the remainder of daylight. I think a couple of other boats had snapps success but not me:'( , I did pull a couple of whiting and a 36 cm flathead, but that was it.
Then moved over to HA Arty, only 2 other boats there when I arrived, but we were shortly after joined by a few more, all but 1 drifting.
On about the 4th or 5th drift I had a reasonable run, but no hook up. 2 drifts later the reel screamed and I was onto a nice 61 cm snapp, a new PB for me:D . Boated him with out any worries and that was the end for me.
Left around 11 pm and went home via western Mud, all quiet again, a quick drift in the river for zilch and then back to the ramp.
Conditions were perfect, dead glass for much of the night, absolutely beautiful night to be out there;D .
