Couldnt find anyone to take the boat for a run on Monday (which is unusual) so did some work around the house and went down to the boat ramp on the Pine river at Dohles rocks. Stood there on the ramp for about an hour flicking plastics inbetween boat traffic on the last of the outgoing tide and scored 6 nice flatties all easily legal, an estuary cod 38cm, and a nice flattie at 75cm(pic) all released to live another day. Maybe I should have brought the esky with a bit of ice.

Typical no one is ever around when I get a decent flattie to take a pic of me with it. Maybe I should teach the dog to use the camera?

cheers

Big pete Big Pete Big Pete, those pics look very similar to some photos you posted back in 2005! Jokes mate. Well done, sorry i couldnt come out, some of us have to work on Mondays, as i said get a regular Friday off and we're sorted. I would have loved a few flathead fillets aswell :<.

Nice one mate but fish generally don't like dry concrete. A bit of wet sand is better for em (or mud at dohles).

Hi All,

Any news on Deep Water Bend ramp, is it on schedule, on budget, within specs and basically can I get my bloody tinny off the end of it yet?

We usually get in and camp upsteam just beyond the Sth Pine Junction (fire ,etc) so if any intrepid anglers are up that way and want to call in for a hot bevvie, cold bevvie or abuse jet skiers, feel free.

By the way, anyone using the site, if you could ensure what you bring you take it would be very much appreciated as spending the first 2 hours finding and cleaning up broken glass in long gras is the pits when you should only have to worry about baiting up the pots and the relaxing around the fire till the next high.

Thanks Guys for the soapbox,

Ken,

I like those grass minnows cause they look like hardiheads, and snapper seem to love em too.
