Fraser Island

Spent 5 days at Fraser, Fished most afternoons and mornings up at Dundaburra in a very nice gutter (200 other blokes throught the same) but the tailor weren't biting, ended up with about 10 tailor for the 5 days. Couldn't even catch a decent dart!!

I'm heading back in a month for a week so I hope there are biting then!!

My Father in law and 12other guys just got back on weekend from the same spot(I missed out again) they were there a week. They all bought there bag limit back but said the size and numbers where down..

Hi Duncan,

I got back last week and also camped at Dundubara. There were a few fish around the previous weekend and then it just became ones and twos each session. We found a few good gutters further north - check out my report on Sps in the surf.

Had a read Ollie, looks like you did well at the cape, we spent friday up there, got a few small dart thats all, there was alot of weed up there but def. some nice gutters further north.

The tailor just didn't want to know us, word around the island was everyone else was struggling aswell.

We did however have a better session at the Eurong Pub, plenty of tourist there to catch!!

Good call Duncan, One of the guys that comes camping with us has a tendency to go wandering into the backpackers camps for a chat - he has more guts than me....
