Hi All,
I am a relative list newbie & this is my 1st report, so here goes.
Launched from Cleveland at around 4-30 am this morning for a bit of a bait soak out at the NE side of Peel. st 3 baits all produced undersized grassies, followed soon after by several undersized squire, all around the 25 - 30 cm mark.
Then a school of choppers moved in, caught 4 & dropped 2, all in the 40 - 45 cm mark.
Things then went very quiet as the sun rose higher behind the clouds & at anchor up time, aroung 9-30, all I had added to the list was a small shovel nose, also returned to the water.
Mixed bait of squid, pillies & mullet were all tried & taken. Not a great day, but
fresh chopper was better than no fish for dinner tonight:D
