be real careful of these nasty fish they hurt for hours if you get spiked by them.
I have been told that if you do get spiked/stung by them rub the slim on their eye on the puncture this will help with the pain.
I've always thrown them back so i don't know of their eating qualities.

P.S The name happy moments is like the name funny bone couldnt be further from the truth.

I`ve heard the same about the eating quality that they are very nice with a nice white flesh when cooked but never eaten one myself.I was always taught to stay right away from them.

The fastest and most effective way to fix the not so "Happy Moments" is to immerse the area in as hot water as you can stand. This kills the proteins in the vemin and will eleviate the pain sooner than anything. Do not use ice, this will increase the pain. The same goes for Bullrouts, Stonefish etc.
This is what the medical folk suggest too.

Happy moments are a surprisingly good eating fish. Well flavoured and good texture flesh. Filletting is best done with a very long bladed knife for obvious reasons.
They are also a very good livebait, I have used several dozen as livies over the yrs and every single one of them has been hammered soon after setting the bait. I am buggered if i know how fish can wolf one of these painful buggers down tho would be worse than a toothache i reckon.
