What is the best brand of tuna oil and where can I buy it? (Im in SE QLD)
I recently bought a bottle of tuna oil from BCF and when I got out on the boat i found that it smelt like vegetable oil and had very little tuna scent.

That is exactly the problem with some of the, so called, Tuna oil on the market.
Get Big Johns Tuna oil - it is available from Big W stores and is the real thing.
You won't be disappointed with it.

Thnx, I will try that.
I had bought the tuna oil brand before and it was putrid/good yet when I bought the same brand later it wasn't near as good.
Do Tuna Oil brands vary in quality based on if tuna are in season? Like will the quality of a tuna oil contain more tuna in summer than in winter?

Hey Mick
Would that be Skretting? Are they set up to freight just 20 litres? Have you tried any of their feeds as burley?
cheers

Hi Tony...Yes i do use there Pellets as Burley...It is ok but nothing fantastic....the oil does come from there factory but i purchase it through a tackle salesman who has the rights to the left over oil....the oil comes out of the pellets after they have been pressed through the dies in ther factory...

yeah Mick, My young bloke has just been hired by Skretting to work as a fish food research scientist in Norway. He is going to spend a week in Tassy before he goes - I'm just trying to work out whether I can manufacture a scam for myself out of it and get hold of some of that red oil ;D ::)

You would be impressed by it Tony...The main reason i love to use it it because alot of the scale fish we catch here..eg...Stripey Trumpeter...gummy and School shark are always full of Redbait....So if the fish are feeding on Redbait in the wild then splashing a berley trail around and dipping my bait in the oil must help my chances of catching something...I also reckon it would be great on Mako`s as it sends out a pretty mean slick...Hope you can scam a trip down this way..
Cheers Mick
