Coomera Flatties again

Had another flick with the sps at coomera again, had to give it ago after the other effort a couple of days before. Threw out the same rig for 15min and bang,wasnt ready for it,nearly ripped the rod out of my hands. After a great fight and a few unsuccesful attempts t get her in the net i final decided to tighten up the drag and get it in. After a quick pic and a measurer she went 1cm short of my pb, i let her go to get bigger. Been surprised lately with them as i always thought they were more of a summer fish but the ones i have got recently have been alot bigger than my summer ones, my opion has now been changed.

Nice flathead. seasons and fish schedules have definantly changed. I used to time spotty season at my favorite spot with the little yellow butterflies that would burst into summer. Just saw these butterflies today, miles to early for spotts though.

i think down your way the bigger ones tend to come out now and thru till oct, nice fish tho mate.
