Ummm, thought with the clear water, try a bit deeper, as opposed to mud, paid off.... :), had my spunky victorian offsider again, we smashed em'! Too drunk to type, Lumox still drinking celebrating...so I get to type!!!

We caught a 58cm Snapper, then Lumox had to show me up....Captains rights... I suppose.....a 60cm Snapper. Nice work Captain.

Thought we'd take the big rod out today, so cast away....cast away, put the Durado out & had a 7' plastic dragging on the bottom.......bang!!! Lumox is on!!! It was a biggin' for sure......68cm & 2.6kg Snapper & a PB to brag about....and he/we did. The best the boat has had on!!!

Feel sorry for those old school dudes (not old guys) that were content to follow us around, with no gps or a sounder.... for the whole day and try thier luck with bait.......such a bad move......plastics rock! And bait stinks!!:P

Bring on tomorrow!!!

she trying to sell me short fish went 3.6. super happy gee they go hard.
juju did the casual start on the water at 8ish. caught them right through to about 2.30ish just kept drifting and chasing new drifts.
chief i was certinaly concidering giving up the drink on the way out sunday!
sunday was good getting another 15 fish but sizes were smaller and the boat traffic was alot worse. seemed everytime we got a hit on a drift someone would up anchor and re anchor on our drift painfull at times but still had a great time with fish keeping us busy. help from the high from the day before it was more a bit of fun than a full scale fishin mission.
chatted to a few people didnt see any ausfish stickers ( i dont have either oops ) one bloke in a tinny that looked empty half the time showed us an interesting catch, a reef anchor. certinaly different.
love the placcies.

Great work LUMOX! That is awesome and it's good to see you get amongst them! I'm well overdue for a decent catch myself so good to see they're still out there!

Yeah - it SUCKS! But it's all part of the master plan where one day soon, again i will rein supreme amongst the fish midweek...:P Actually, just finished putting the final coat of paint on the boat - now i have to do the staff pays :( !

Have been out a few times over the past 2 months experimenting for very little reward but i'm learning a fair bit along the way - when it clicks, hopefully it will click big time! But i think 'back to basics' for the next few trips as the freezer is bare and the wife is wanting fish... Hopefully this weekend ;)
