Hi All,

Ventured up to fish the surf on the Sunshine Coast last Sat night. Beaut arvo with about 2 foot of swell and a 10 knot offshore breeze. Got to the spot about 5pm and strait away the bream were biting. Ended up starting the clean at about 11 pm with 22 in the bucket. Threw about 8 back that were around the 25. Nothing special in size here, but nothing under legal either was caught for the night. Most were about the 28 - 30cm mark. Nearly every cast got a bite though. Good fun.

Hope the pics attach.

Thanks Barry. Eddie actually turned up at 11:30 and caught 3 snodgers. I sat back and watched. Gary could have caught fish this night.

Bait was mullet flesh and gut. Can't go home without a bit of gut on the fingernails, otherwise the CFO wants to know where you've been.......

Can't complain about that haul. Fishin with the mullet gut were you targeting something else or just whatever was on the chew?

mullet gut doesn't catch too much other than bream I've found. Was targeting bream. Full moon in winter at this place goes off.

Yeah Pete, they went off last full moon too. I'm down the Gold Coast next week for work and from all the reports of tailor, I think I'll find myself in the suds again.
