hi all,:D got home sunday from DI fishing the beach, rocks & a couple of days in the tinnies in the rainbow comp.the first 4 days were pretty crappy, there was a strong sweep on the beach so we fished the rocks with good results.two of the boys landed jew to 6kg plenty of tailor on 65g knightly lures most around the 1kg mark, which were used for bait.also caught 2 trevs 3 squire.:) the beach was fairly quiet with only just legal bream, small dart to 400g and a couple of black tip reef sharks of which one tried to take my rod for a swim >:( .so by thursday the swell had dropped and the wind and the call was made to pack the boats for a beach launch over rainbow at about 3pm,the lagoon has formed again which is good for launching but there is a sandbank that runs from the rocks to about 15mts in front of the cut(very shallow at low tide).made our way down to spot C to jig some lives, did that for a while then made our way out to spot K::) 4ks ne of wolf.straight away the pearlies were on with snapper to 3kg mixed in and a couple parrot and grassies.back in about 9.30 with nice feed;D went out again on friday about same time managed more pearlies to 2.5kg snapper to 3-4kg sweeties & a cod.did'nt manage to win anything but some of the boys won daily prizes(will try again next year)all in all had one of the best weeks with some good mates thats the main thing;D .hope photos come up
