Myself and 2 mates head out to the broadwater just north of Paradise Point on the Gold Coast mainly to chase a few flatty. Kicked off about 6.00 am as the tide was coming in, which wasn't what we wanted but anyway good to get out early, started to throw a few pumkinseeds and got a few schoolies, about 6 went back and only 1 keeper stayed on board. Then about 7.30 we noticed a little surface action which started to get quite entertaining and when 3 or 4 birds started flying above we knew it was time to change rigs and throw a few metals lures. Bang all 3 of us on first cast this lasted for about 10 to 15 minutes before the school disapeared. All up 9 taylor landed all keepers biggest 47cm. I forgot to mention we drop about the some amount. Oh well is was enough to get the blood pumping.
So then we played around for a bit more until the tide started to run out, we got back into the flatty fishing, this was about 9.30 am, 3 hours later we had 15 in the boat and lost 2 or 3 just shy of getting to the boat, only 9 keepers the biggest was 67cm and if i may say that was my PB. So very happy;D . So that was a pretty good morning session back to the boat ramp about 1.00pm.
I will try and post some pics as a good story like this becomes even better with pictures.
Cheers Gav
