Will be heading up to Borumba Dam near Imbil, mid September for a camping weekend. I will be taking the boat, as the group I'm going with are taking a few boats, but not for fishing. I am the only fisherperson that wants to fish but I'm a fresh water virgin and know nothing about fishing the fresh. I fish for Bream ect every weekend in the passage and know how to find the fish but in the fresh I'm stumped.
Can anyone give us a few pointers to head me in the right direction. Thins like tackle to use, lures, poppers, bait and different techniques. Also any spots in the dam, gps marks ect, you can pm these to me if you wish.

Thanks in advance.::)

Try any origanal drop offs into old creek beds. This year they are schooled up pretty tight. I was at borumba a week ago and pulled 32 in a morning session.
Try Chartruese vibe 60's.:) Can't tell you exactly where they are schooled though.:-X Finding them is half the fun, definately try the main basin;D
Best of luck.
