Does anyone know what this bay is like between the lighthouses as an O/N anchourage in a SW?
I've seen trawlers in there but never tried it myself.
Cheers,
Scott

Have stayed there quite a few times, ( Yellowpatch ) right conditions (wind, swell ) real nice spot, + in the morning 5 minutes and you are out.
S/W, S/E, S are fine, west & east at a bit doubtful as well of course anything from the north.
Hope this assists

Stopped there a few times myself years ago. That was when Flinders wasn't a green zone. If it got to rough to fish it i'd camp in there till morning. Caught some big shovelnose sharks there at night time.

Have stayed there in a 25 knot s/wester overnight, very comfortable.
Can turn ugly if it swings around to n/west during the night. It's like a washing machine with waves rebounding off the boulders.>:(
Yellow Patch is the best if you have any doubts.

I was there on the weekend, the sw is ok but if you have anything over a 1mt of swell i would be looking for other options.

Fever, Spiro and Vitamin C.
I normally just fly past that area in low light but stopped on the way home yesterday and had a good look and in the bay itself between the cape and Northpoint (honeymoon bay) looks a very ordinary as an anchorage in any swell. Not a lot of margin for error if you drag.
I suspect in hard against Yellow patch would be a better option as there is a bit of a bay there, and it is sand. I did see a big cruiser in there yesterday.

Yellowpatch is the better option, that is where I have stayed overnight, sorry, misread your first post, that is where I thought you were looking at.
Cheers
