It started as an idea on the way to a S.C.G.F.C meeting earlier in the year, just 2 tradesmen talking about making our own softheads for next season. Well after a few false starts and alot of learning it now looking bigger than planed:D The lures are made from flexible polyurethane and poured into silicon moulds that have been made from master profiles that Mark (birdy) has turned up in aluminium, we have 5 general shapes atm and have a few sizes in each shape, with many more idea's to put into solid form,it a bit of work but were very happy with the results so far here's a few pics, the first are heads only and the second is dressed. The third is of our master's and the fourth the moulds were are making!

These look really good Ian.
Forgive my ignorance on skirted trolling lures Ian, but what shape heads are meant for what type of swimming actions?
Certainly they look very professional, almost like Pakulas!

Mate as far a differant shapes and trolling positions go it's a big subject, and everyone has there own idea's but basically the larger stubbier heads have a faster action and are used closer to the boat with the longer barrells and reverse taper barrels used in the wider longer positions where they have clear water. the longer heads generally have a slower action. Differant ocean conditions demand differant lures but this is getting into that big subject and i dont type well enough. If your very keen to learn Pakula's" Between the lines" cd rom is very good and covers almost everything you need to know.

thanks Ian, I understand the explanation required may be somewhat beyond the scope of this forum. Your tips are appreciated.
Cheers
