Brisbane rod buiding supplies

Will be in Brisbane tomorrow with some time to spare. So it's either the pub or tackle shops or more than likely both. Wondering which tackle shops in Brisbane carry a range of rod building supplies and blanks?

Mossops at Woollongabba stock a range of rod building supplies, but are short on Blank stocks.

you sure phill last time I was in mossops I wanted to get a but cap and they hardly had any and the ones they had were the crappy 1982 style. Do they have a hidden rod building area?

Nothing in particular just looking. As it turned out I got to Brisbane a bit late and didnt have time to get to any tackleshops. Thanks for the help.

Yes crafty, they have just recently ( very recently ) started stocking a large range of ALPS gear including lathes.

Last time I went to Mossops they had a beaut rod lathe on special for $550 (I think) and also an impressive range of painted reel seats... 8-)
Darryl, one of the guys there, is actually a rod builder and can give you advice on the spot!

Those reel seats are anodised aluminium... many many colours and combo colours.
