marlin broadbills

Hi Everyone,
I would like to gain some knowledge on the Marlin Broadbills.
I have been looking to buy an alloy cat in the 6 to 6.5m range and have started to think hard about this make, i was wondering if there was anyone out there that could give me info on their good and bad traits, in particular the 6.5m hard top. Not the early models, wave piercers onwards.
If someone could suggest a better Alloy Cat i am still open to suggestions.

Cairns Custom Craft
Abcat (bayshore boats)
The Abcats look like they are well built and fitted out and should perform well
any others anyone ?

why don't you tell us what you have found out so far or why the Marlin Broadbill is top of the list at the moment ? :-/

I currently own a 5.5m sailfish and love the ride I get from it. It is powered by twin 70hp Johnson 4 strokes. These boats are quite big for their stated size - this boat is 6.4m overall. If Perko sees this post he can give you some details on his 6.0m Sailfish. It is probably the best boat i've been out in. If you want any details on my boat let me know.

thanks stuie. for your reply but the money i am allowed to spend thanks to the better half does not go to the price range of the sail fish.When it comes time to start doing some serious test runs on these

Stuie thanks for the reply, but unfortunately the sail fish are a little out of my price range,but they are from all reports the best alloy cat. Happpy hunting!

you should get a hold of the f&b publication 'powercats australia'. lists about every cat made in Austalia, with tests aswell. well worth a read. www.seamedia.com.au
