Once in a life time experience there guys. I've never heard of a whale shark in Hervey Bay. What length do you think he was? Looked like he might have only been a juvenile.

Hey mate, yeah it was a juvenile only about 4.5mtrs long about 1.2mtrs across it's head.

is a tracking site who'd probably like to know about the sighting.
They use photos from behind the gills (don't spose you got any;) ) to identify them.
