Increased Fees - Decreased Services

I know there are a few aware of this problem, especially those who did the Mt Mee M&G. It didn't cause too mach of a problem at the time but it appears to be occuring more frequently and becoming policy throughout QLD State Forests & National Parks.

Fees are increasing, while the facilities and services offered are decreasing even quicker. No firewood, no or dirty ammenities, and you MUST book and pre-pay online, there is no other way. This is WRONG! We are talking about PUBLIC owned open space!

Here is a letter circulated through the 4WD club I'm a member of in the latest club magazine. I urge everyone to print it, fill it in and send it. You should be able to send it to

or why not your local member of government... or both!! That is what I will be doing.

I hear you brother. I feel exactly the same way. Camping used to be a cheap holiday in beautiful surroundings. Now it seems you can't even fart in a national park without a permit and then you are likely to get a fine for it.

$4.50 per person per night plus access fees plus barge fares if you go to an island = expensive for as you say less and less. Me and the missus with three kids is cheaper to pay individually than paying the family rate, go figure.

I'll be sending mine in because it has been jacking me off for a long time.
