Chopper Fest!

Headed up to the pin yest. morn (Had quite a bit of success the previous week on Tailor), but nothing much around, so decided to head back to the Seaway and check out some close in reefs....birds were going mental, and so we decided to head down to narrow neck....threw out a 20gm slug for an immediate hit...40cm tailor comes aboard(Thinking this is looking to be a good session!), another 3 casts produced another 3 tailor(All around 30-40cm)...thought Id mix it up a bit and toss out an unweighted whole pillie on 4/0 gang.....put that rod in the holder, and tossed out the slug....get an immediate hook-up on the slug, and my other rod goes off ;D....manage to land them both, and decided one Rod was enough!

We would have accounted for well in excess of 40 choppers(All around 30-40cm).....It was constant double hook-ups!!

I also "landed" 2 bloody birds!!

Headed back to the Ramp at ~4:30pm - Absolute cracker of a session!!

They usually stick around until Sept/October..

I am interested to hear about the pin trip that you mentioned
How many did u catch?/ what size??

whitingkiller - We ran out of pillies at the 'pin(And they refused to touch slugs+SP's), so only managed around 5 (Plus a couple of bream)...they were all around the 40cm mark.
