Hello everyone,
i thought i should put this report in to show anyone that you can catch bream in just about any sort of weather. today me and my mate David trekked out at 6.00 this mornin in search of an early mornin travally or queenfish at the mouth at currimundi lake, we were supprised that we only got one queenie till bout 7.30, then we dicided to catch the bus to kawana.
Upon arrival we were nearly struck down by the gale force winds, well they were just about but like a true aussie we ventured on and the first cast with a gulp sandworm a very nice whiting of 36cm to my mate David after a few more poontons a nice bream of 29cm ate a 3inch gulp minnow in smelt colour on a tt hidden weight. Eventually we got even more rewarded for our percistance after about a kilometre of walkin the canals david ended up catching two flathead est about 30cm and 55cm and three nice bream while i caught 7 bream to 33cm and two flathead size unmentionable, actually both were about 25cm :o haha.most of the bream were caught on 3 ich berkley gulp and bass minnows in prl blu shad and smelt with tt hidden weight, gulp sanworms on hidden weights and strike pro poppers.
So if anyone gets a chance to go breamin, GO!!!! for it even if the weather is bad you should be rewarded have a good holidays everyone.
