Hey,

I'm not sure, but could this be one of the first cheap chinese boats here?

It says they are an Australian company, not that they are made in Australia.

BoatFX on the Gold Coast also has some cheap imports as well. They could be the same boats for all I know.

Regards

From reading the website info it looks like the price is without a motor. For $12500 you can have the 100hp option?

Looks a real light duty trailer too

I don't know but 400kg seems a bit light for a 5m bowrider. My 5.5m c/c is 800 kg

The fine print says, 'Add $9000 for Yamaha 60HP Four Stroke outboard or add your own!' So the bowrider would be about $20000, which is about the average for a 16 foot bowrider. The boat itself doesn't look to bad though.

Yes boats are chinese. They are made by several different companies; but to what quality I dont know.( some are using iso standards) But the Chinese are on the same road as Japan was 30 years ago. Even some of our big tv companies do sneakies with chinese panels:-X;) I brought over some projection screens ; some models were a bit low on quality but others very good . Hen Hao. 1 in 10 jobs in USA are being lost to imports. When I went over to trade expo my friends husband is a Da Lo Ban = Big Sector Boss: He said that all companies had been told to increase quality. So it will happen. I almost bought the smaller boat myself.

Hmmmm...

It actually says an Australian company with Aussie boats...... Highly misleading methinks since they are not australian built boats. They are either China or more likely South America.

I was looking at importing the Excedo boats from Argentina about 18 months ago but the quality of the first boat I bought was very poor. They may have improved things since but who knows.......

Just remember one thing. Quality costs and you get what you pay for. Pay little and you get little.

Probably warrants a call to consumer affairs to report them for false and misleading conduct. And if they are game enough to lie on their own website then what else are they happy to deceive about???

Cheers

I believe they are chinese boats. I can get these if I wish. But now have to be careful of the men in suits and wigs :0. I was going to bring 3 over to test them out but had a change of work so have delayed for awhile and there are other things out there with less outlay and higher return; but because I love fishing and boating and camping :)............ oh and the 4 metre boat just as i was about to order was made exclusive :).

Hi

You are right that the boats are imported from China. I bought one from a guy in sydney in february with trailer etc and then fitted it out. I had the petrol tank made and put a 115 DI evinrude on the back. This is the first boat real boat (other boat was a tinny) that I have owned but I am very happy with the boat and you can put it together for a decent price. I got tired of thinking that I had to pay 50K for a boat.

I have been outside in the boat and all around the bay with the family and mates. Got the electronics from the states. I think that it is money well spent. I saw the guy from Barracuda at the boat show but the boat is exactly the same as mine.

Hey Malolo. is yours the 5.3 with the small low cabin? Its hard to find a good hull and top sides over there. Most are european or American designs.

I have inspected the bowrider and I liked it. Id be happy to own it. I offered him $12k for the boat with motor and trailer, and he wouldnt budge off 20k. They are usually on display on Michigan dve, Oxenford just west of the school.

Im sure he said they from the Phillipines. Worth a punt at the right price, but his price is too high for imports. Definitely not aussie boats, but they are 'assembled' in australia, if you count adding a motor and trailer.lol.

His special price must be without motor, and maybe even no trailer?
Buyer beware.
