View Full Version : Do we need (or want) a tutorials sub-section?
I posted a tutorial on rebuilding a TLD25 a while back.
Just wondering if everyone thinks we should have a tutorials sub-section?
Perhaps any tutorials could be submitted to the mods for approval and put in a locked section?

Yes, because each week the forum gets cluttered with a similar thread from the week before and the week before that and so on.

I don't think giving any one reply/thread the title of tutorial, as helpful as it may sound, would really be a good idea. I think making it a tutorial implies too much of an 'expert' status and ends up putting extra pressure on those who replied. I also think it's fantastic trolling through the boards using the search function, you end up reading some really interesting points of view and often finding replies that are only marginally related but provide some great insights and info on other topics. Just my opinion

perhaps you could suggest a different name then? some of the info on here is gold. and can be hard to find again after a few months.

Yep.
How about chucking it in the Hints and Tips at the top of the page??
And thanks for the reel service thingo Owen. It is well worth saving somewhere.

Great idea. It is hard to find stuff after a few months, I agree. I missed the TLD thread, and I might need that in a few years after ive used my new tld, haha.
Under tips is ideal. Id like to see more of the animated knots too.
