howdy everyone
i just thought we would put in my report for the day. me and my mate dylan (bass"n"bream) went to the canals in kawana barefoot. we started at 6 in the mornin and walked to every pontoon and i swear i have never seen someone lose so many fish in one sesssion dylan lost about 25 bream and only caught 5 bream 2 cod and 1 flathead bream rangin from bout 20 to 35cm flathead 42cm and cod 10cm haha all on gulp sandworms and i missed about 15 due to not watching the line and bust offs haha i ended up with 14 bream ranging rom about 17 to 32 cm and i caught one on towadi 3 on a strike pro popper 5 on 3 inch berkley bass and rest on gulp sandworm but as soon as i put the poppers on it started to bucket down rain and yet as long as i worked the poppers close enough to the boat ( short sharp action) they would skoff it down. everyone said it was not worth goin today but we showed em but the funny thing is im goin to baroon pocket tomorrow and the weather is goin to be even worse hahaha .dylan was armed with a shimano tcurve rod stradic 1000 4lb fireline and 8lb vanish leader iwhile i was using a shimano twinpower 1000 with a berkley pro tournament rod(new version) with 4lb platypus braid and 4lb seagar leader well i hope u enjoyed the read cheers

You guys make Bream fishing on plastics and HB's sound so easy. But it's not:o , which adds meaning to what I am about to say.. Well done fellas!!;)

How do you guys (or anyone) fish the gulp sandworms? Do you put them on a jig head? If so what weight? And what kind of retrieve do you use. I have always thought they look like a great way to miss strikes.

well pontiph02
all you godda do is cut about the an ich of the head of the sandworm and put a 1/16th oz tt jighead and put it through like an ordinary plastic but all the fish eat them head first the reason why dylan lost so many is beacause he either struck to hard or he wasnt aware the fish had taken the lure hope this helps

Top stuff fellas. I love chasing breambos on the plastics myself. Been nailing a few on the 4lb using shrimps fished deep on hidden weights.
Haven't used the minnows much but may have to soon. Great pics, always fun pulling em from the surface basskid. Keep the reports coming.

Richie ;)
