Hi,
I finally bit the bullet and bought my first boat. The first thing I want to do is get the outboard and trailer serviced. It's a Johnson 2 stroke 40hp.
Any recommendations on where I could get this done on the southside of Brisbane? Springwood or Capalaba would be convenient.
Thanks
Dave B
I think Leisure marine in Capalaba are Johno dealers... Not sure what they are like but you would think they might know how to service the motor.

Try Mr T's at capalaba, next door to Leisure Marine. Thay are mercury/mariner dealers bit i think they do any outboard service. Good reputation also.
I also have had good experience with Wynnum Marine.

I have been to this guy,and sent many others. He specialises in your type of motor.
Works on his own.Gets busy sometimes to a point he wont take on any more work.
Easy to find, and been in business a long long time.He is an oldie, but a goodie.

Wynnum marine would be the go!!
Sorry to state the obvious, but given the title "Where to get my Johnson serviced" (granted we are in Oz and not the US but still...)
I would have said "from the mrs" or if you are that way inclined "from the cathouse"..... :) :) :)

This guy has to be one of the best outboard mechanics I have come across, I usually do my own servicing but if i need bits and pieces I always see him, I always get honest and good advice. I dont think theres anything about Johnsons he doesnt know.
