Not that I have caught anything decent since getting here four months ago but the Harbour produces all sorts of pelaigics including mackeral, trevally, queenies etc..., barramundi, coral trout. The list goes on. My neighbour landed a 96cm Barra a month or so back off of the wall with live mullet.
Weather conditions are pretty bad and generally windy. Slade Island is a short distance from the Harbour probably under 1 km and reefies can be caught at night when all is quiet.
Good luck and dont forget to post your results.
Cheers

try clairview on the way the salmon run well in winter there right off the beach and there are lots of islands near the ramp but the ramp is tidal access only

Na Pete,
Didn't get a chance. I sold the boat last week. The wife wants something bigger with a kitchen and shower.
Better start saving i think.
She is eyeing off a 25' Carribean / Bertram! Gotta be diesel therefore big bucks! unless I can fing one with a big arse four stroke outboard!

the harbour is fishin s%$t hot at the mo. there are plagues of dimond trevs round. have got some nice goldies to 8 kilo, mackeral, little gt's, if you can head to the islands, trout are going spastic. last week got 4 trout, total weight of 19 kilo, spanish are going alright on the shoals and island withheaps of current.
seaforth is a good option in bad weather, islands therecan hold anything. the flats on the out are pretty good, using poppers, is some good sambos around creek mouths,
