Thought I'd try for a feed of schoolies this morning. Went out to my usual haunts. Flicked slices around for awhile with no luck. Wind started picking up so I thought I'd thought I'd head back in and try the loading jetty just out the front of the harbour mouth.
Fisrt drop down with a SP I was nailed, on the way down. Flicked the bail over and set the hook. Landed a nice little GT of about 50cm.
Very next drop was nailed by his little brother, another GT boated, this went about 40cm. Both released.
Went quite after that so I left the water and came home.

Yeah things have been quite for awhile. Have been a couple of times, nothing really worth posting.
I don't think I'm a full convert but I will keep trying with them.

That's suprising to hear, considering all the recent reports flooding in through the paper, on the radio, and TV.... mackeral everywhere they are saying...::)

Been pretty busy lately, but looking to get out as much as I can in between 4wding.. I took a 4wding mate out on the Queens birthday Monday. We caught around 15 schoolies, all about 40cm.
It was a great day though. My mate had never really caught anything decent, that was until he landed a nice 4kg Mack Tuna.
How's your boat hunting coming along Josh?
Don't worry Scalem I'm not ready to get rid of hard body, slices and bait just yet.
