Anyone have any ideas on where I can get a reasonably inexpensive 15 - 37kg or 24 - 37 kg rod from that doesn't cost too much?

I'm not looking for anything too flash - 5' to 5' 6" long and no rollers - just guides suitable for braid.

Cheers

G'day

No idea myself, maybe ask around some of the fishing clubs?

What do you plan on skull dragging?

Have a look at the Penn range, (power-tip?). I've have(had, one went swimming with a near new Alvey)) a few 15-24kg outfits, & they are great. Looked at the 24-37kg sticks a few times, but when It came time to upgrade my big gear, in a fit of passion, I bought an Angler Rod, & think I have regretted it ever since.

Definitely worth a look,

Thanks fellas.

All good suggestions that I will check out.

I don't want to spend a heap of money on a super high quality bit of gear for this rod. I'm just looking for something that I can set up for using when getting bricked by unstoppables. Just want to be able to have one much heavier set up with a heap more drag possible than with my other gear. The reel will be good quality but the rod can be basic.

Whats the story there... How do you set where you are bidding from? I thought that would just be from your registration?

Just curious... when I have time for bidding it would be from overseas...

Just can have items from australia on ebay instead of bidding on oversea's stuff, they have the sellares details whehere they are when you click on something your intertested in, on the left hand ccolumn you can select just australian or worldwide products. No problem from oversea's products just that once you win a product it doesn't take long at on to arrive when bought here and postage costs are usaully cheaper:) cheers JT
