Welly monster with plassies at dark

Left on dark to do a spot of spappa fishin solo with my old mate soft plassys and second cast bagged a 50 plus on my 10 pound braid with 10 kilo leader:D . I think the whole area heard my drag spin of into the distance with huge tail seargers. After one more under size and a whole lot of bites the rain came so i went back in fullfilled at least with one big snodger in the esky8-) .

Great catch dobson - I always measure my fish at full length -not sure who started measuring fish from the fork but it's a crazy idea, some fish don't have forks so it's a waste of time!

Nice snapper you got, would have been great fun in the shallows.

I'm with you sea captain never been able to work out why some measure to the fork, fisheries don't and most people go to the tip. Wonders what sort of a problem it must be when they try to measure a jewie :)

As pointed out by Straddie fisheries measure to the end of the tail and so do most on this site! So that is definitely a 50 plus in my book......

Some practice measuring fish to the fork if they are close to legal so as to help guard against shrinkage....legel fish might become boarderline after few hours in an esky

Well Mr Dobson, lucky i told you about those lime tigers. looks like they work well. Im still very surprised how well plastics work at night!! Next time the weather is right we have to go to green and try some new spots..

Thanks Stacer_440 for the tip with the alvy we might hit green or even mud.
Hope this wind leaves soon.
PS. are you sure this is a mowong because it looks similar but different tail fluke and side fins to picture.
