Woodgate Artificial Reef
S 25-05-546
E 152-34-405
It's only about a kilometre off the beach and is roughly level with where the main road into the town hits the beach, or just south of there. When I was there it seemed that there were numerous objects ob the bottom (I don't know what they dumped to make the reef) but they were quite scattered. If it's a calm day there should be a few other small boats on the reef - head for them.

gday
I was just wonder with that artificial reef, is it worth fishing off? i go up regulary to see dad, and as yet we havent been fished it as we haveent known where it was. But we have never seen boats out in that area? Is it where everyone fishes for the winter whiting? What type of fish do they catch on the arty?
I'm heading up there shortly for the weekend, so now that i know the general area we might give it a go.
cheers

dan just remebered,i think there is also some new green zones out the front .maybe a little STH of the arti
The Bowls club and the pub are the best place to lern what happens at woodgate...if there full dont bother fishing, if empty follow the locals ,....Adamleah there is a 1/2 decent ramp at the southern end "walkers point".
if you need a bigger copy send us your email cheers
