outboard pod

I am thinking of putting an aluminium pod on the back of a 16/6 cruise craft reef raider. Just wondering if any one has tried this and wether it is worth doing. The hull is a clinker style with plenty of life left in it. It is powered by a 130hp yamaha.

you will find a dozen topics on pods here if you do a search, but it can be a 'dud" and it can be a good job as well, beacuse you are making a "one off" only time (and money) will tell.

Thanks for that. I did locate some information that will be pretty helpfull. No one can really say if it will improve the performance or not. if it does nothing else it might give a bit more room in the boat.
