Hi was just thinking has anyone got on to tailor in NOS i fished the fingal point area from the beach from 430am to 730am on friday for one lone fish about a 1kg
they should be here soon. cheers

there is none down at hastings point nor have I seen or heard of anyone fishing from Kingie to Cabba

I've just got my rig set up for my first go at Tailor so I'm keen to follow this. I am staggered to learn that Tailor are netted. What happens when they take the leaders with the map?

netters suck....anyway with the tailor we were getting little chopper tailor the other night in the pine river and my brother in law got a few nice green backs last week at mud island so they are showing up around brisbane at the moment . Are you fishing with bait or lures ?

I haven't seen or heard of any significant catches of Casuarina beach yet. Lets hope they turn up soon.

i havent been getting them on the gold coast, here of a few but not many ,last year i was catching them from feb-

I got one, and a mate got two inside Noosa bar, Thurs AM @ 45 - 55 cm.
Also heard of one @ mouth of Lake Corroibah yesterday .
Makes me wonder if they are loners, scouts or residents?

There aren't too many tailor in northern NSW ATM. We spent the past week at Iluka, returning today with very minimal results.

Got the occasional good one (one greenback) off Shark Bay and a couple of reasonable others, but nothing special. Nothing off the Iluka Wall, Main Beach, the Bluff or the usual haunts.

Plenty of good flathead in the river though.
