Guys I'm looking for a new snapper stick for around Peel/Mud etc that will back up for chasing big flatties as well. I want to run it on a Daiwa Caldia Kix 2500 with 16lb Blue PE braid. I was wondering what everyone thinks about rod weight. Is 4-7kg too heavy or will a 3-6kg do the business? I'm looking at a 7ft IM8 class rod at the moment. I've been beaten up a few times around Harry's also so I'm looking to muscle up a bit out there as well. I've been fishing pretty light, mostly heavy bream gear. I mainly fish 1/8ths around peel with 10-12lb leaders.

Cheers
