I was just pondering peoples thoughts on online shopping for fishing tackle...What are your favourite online stores..I find Online shopping best as i am no where near any tackle shops..and i think by shopping around several sites that you can get a reasonable bargain ...

I don't like internet shopping for rods or reels (as I like to see how they feeel) unless it is something I can't find anywhere else, the only internet store I use is
www.bosfish.co.uk (http://www.bosfish.co.uk) but being a pom store, I doubt it is of much use

Mo tackle is not bad, there are a couple of Ebay stores I like, Tacklemania for one, it has fixed postage same as Mo Tackle (set rate no matter how much you buy)

Have to agree...but its a shame that the bigger cheaper stores dont sell everything...I seem to have to buy bits and pieces from different shops...

Japan Tackle is very good .... Tracking etc (typical Japanese efficiency) ..... You can expect to save 25%++ on reels & 30-40% on Jackalls :D My last purchase was a daiwa Certate 1500 @ $414 delivered ...... Thats $100 less than the absolute best price in Oz(Mo & Campbells) & more like $200 at most stores.
While the Oz $ is up ... I'll look at buying again soon8-) .... Nagg
While on the subject ..... aside from Basspro, does anyone have a good & reliable US based tackle store:ears: .... They could be another 10-15% cheaper still:beer: ....:dankk2: Nagg

Cabelas aren't normally any cheaper, and their freight will give you a fright!

beware some e-bay gear is very very poor. Sent 5 items back to one e-bay seller for replacement (75% of what i purchased from them) due to poor build/design quality. They were happy to replace them but half the replacements were worse than the items i returned. The message is that if you can not see/feel what you are purchasing don"t do it.(Have had a couple of very good purchases as well but these are a minority)
Good luck Reidy

High guys new to ausfish
I have used a number of Online stores
tacklewhare house in the states is a good one there is also an ebay store from malaysia that has good deals on abu reels cant remember the name.It might be minastore if I find it again I will let you know.
I know this is a free plug but I couldn't find a lot of stuff here to make your own spinnerbaits so I have started my own kingstonlures.com.au I have heaps of components and lures I will be honest most of the hardbody lures are from china but a good quality and have been tested and reviewed by a local guide. There are some lures from the Us and all the components are top quality from the States.Any feedback on the site would be appreciated I have spent over a 100 hours or more putting it together myself.
once again apolagize for the free plug::)
Cheers Gumbo
