spinning and bait...

Hey guys, looking at getting a thready for some spinning and bait work
Spinning would mostly be slugs for tailor and very occasionally tuna, while baits would be everything from throwing gar for tailor to squid for jew...
The question is, im thinking of the 6500 baitrunner or the big baitrunner.
Which is the biger? im guessigng the "big" baitrunner but not sure.
Im inclined to go the larger reel as i might use it for tuna off the rocks and need the extra capacity
Reel will mostly be used for baits (70% of the time)

i think the shimano tss4 would be good for you, awesome reel for slugs and i enjoy useing it for bait, plus they have a graphite body, light weigth, still strong and will last, weve got 2 of them and weve had the first one for years, funny thing i cant tell which one is which now they have the same line on each one even tho ones about 5 years older!

I thought about the tss4 but i dont like the feel of them.
Like i said, most of my fishing will be for jew with liveys so i like to have the baitrunner feature as i use 25-30cm mullet, which means i have to give them time to swallow the bait

Hi Matt,
Have a look at the Penn Slammer 5600 Liveliner for strength and longevity with a very smooth drag.

The Shimano Big Baitrunner has a bigger spool, so may cast further and hold more line, also good quality and a fast retrieve rate.

The Daiwa Emblem Pro 5500 is big and has a really fast retrieve rate, also good quality, but not a baitrunner.

IMO if you don't need the superfast retrieve, go the Penn Slammer. Make sure it's the Slammer Liveliner, not the Captiva Liveliner which is not as good a quality.
