ok i need help quick whats the most u would pay for a second hand calais? im preety sure its the first one its through a friend of a friend. and i need a awnser tonight.

Hi Top,
It is quite difficult to answer without seeing the reel.And you would have to offer ya cash with consideration to it's condition.

I think they were around $600 new.And for a minter I would pay $450 if I was (Looking for this particular reel)

I'm working on the fact ya can get a Calais DC or a Steez brand new for about $600 from overseas ATM.This is top of the range stuff from the two giants.

If it's pretty clean and in good working order I'm thinkin $250 to $300.

My m8 has one of the first/original models of which you speak.And it is very nice to use.Make sure you keep it clean if ya buy it though,Especially after salt work,As the coating tends to peel off if left neglected.The one minor drawback on this reel is it's weight.Quite heavy compared to some out there.
