I went out on Wednesday and got around 30 good size ones in a couple of hours (in the middle of the day) in the northern end of the bay.
I have aslo heard of someone catching 150-200 in the northern end as well. That would have been last weekend.
So keep trying they are out there.

Bro- in- law is getting buckets full in Deception Bay.
Went there last Friday and we got 60 good ones (quite a lot of smaller stuff), 2 loverly Mackerel and a rod and reel (fairly old but in good nick). Dont know what the owwner was trying to catch but had a large spinning reel on it loaded with about 4 - 6lb line with size 6 hook and a sinker which would be too heavy for the Barwon Banks.
I was talking to a regular diver w guy that fishes out in front of the airport...he hansnt been doing very good.....but the grapvine has had some good reoprts from d bay....last year it wasnt too good up near bribie, they had that alge that knocked things about
