Hi All
Parked and stationary in a shopping centre yesterday and was 82cms in from the white line with the door partly open. Young student whipped in to the vacant spot next to me from the far side of the two way traffic lane adjacent and drove into the edge of the door that was straight in line with his entry angle.
Scores
Ford SW: One compressed drivers door with a flattened leading edge where the bull bar hit
LandCruiser SW: White mark on bull bar, bull bar pushed back where contact was made AND crumpled left hand guard crumpled and pushed out "nicely"
Felt sorry for the young guy who knew he'd made a big boo boo and was gracious enough to admit fault. I didn't have the heart to tell him he would done less to his if it was a GQ.
Oh well at least I still have two working legs and the boss's Ford will be fixed in less than a week with a life time warranty on the repair with no cost or impact on the insurance.
Happy driving!
Cheers
