hey guys,

im in the market for a new reel and up until a few days ago had my mind set on a daiwa sol 2500 but now have started thinking about the tierra 2500. Upon looking at the website there doesnt seem to be much different about them.

can anyone make any suggestions on this ?

which one should i go for, looks like the sol will cost me about $80 more

i went through the same exercise a few months ago. ended up with a sol 3000.
started looking at the exceler, thought it was a really nice reel for he money, then looked at the Tierra ( which was the one i was after before i entered the store) a very nice reel, then made the mistake of picking up a sol.. felt so much tighter & smoother than the Tierra, i took the sol.. i am still thinking about getting a Tierra for my next reel.

Mate if you can afford the extra $$ go the SOL.
It is the nicer reel and has less play in the handle.

The Sol also comes with a spare spool not sure if the Tierra does, could be wrong though. Go the Sol though.
