mud island today

Headed out to Mud this morning to try and christen the new rod and reel outfit. No big stuff but managed 4 keepers around 40cm with the biggest going 48cm. The successful plastics were gulp 3inch penny prawns, atomic 3 inch prongs and the ever reliable 4inch pumpkinseed powerbait. Caught the biggest grinner I have ever seen and the dirty buggar promptly spat out a whole large squid once I got it into the boat. Very happy with the new outfit - the Diawa exceller spooled with 10lb crystal fireline worked a treat.

the Sedona is pretty good for the $$ aswell. I have a excelor 3000 and the mrs has the sedona in th 2500
