G'day fellow fishermen,
I just wanted to know would this combo be alright for flicking lures around for Bream? Its a Daiwa Procaster PR-V602LFS rod and a Daiwa Regal-Xi 2500 reel. The combo is $197.00. I just wanted to know is that a good bargin and it also comes with a free Daiwa Neo Reel Cover SP-S.

Hey Lachlan,

Nothing wrong with that combo, the Regal is a good little reel and the 1 - 3kg Procaster will do the job. What line will you be running? If the reel came with a spare spool, maybe think about one with 6lb braid and one with 2lb, that way you can cover most of your finesse bream fishing situations.

Cheers

John
