Fished southern Green this morning and it was full on with small squire and sweetlip. Getting 10 fish per turtleback worm before changing to a new plastic with every so often hooking a better sized keeper. Boats anchored everywhere but i found some good grounds to drift without too much traffic. Lost 3 zzzzzz to structure .Its hard to keep them out with the light leader in 3.3 ms of water. Everytime I went heavier on the leader it put them right off the bite. Amazed at how those smaller squire inhale those 4 inch turtlebacks. Anyway left Green to try somethink different and gather some bait because tonights meal was taken care of. Two casts of the net at St helena had me with enough bait for a future trip i have in mind so it was over to the jetty to try a few tactics from Adam Royters talk at the tackle show with my favourite bream plastic ,The squidgee wriggler in bloodworm and bang, pulled a snodger off one of the piles and boy didn't he put on a show around the strusture on my light outfit. Not a bad day except for the traffic on the water but hey its easter. Happy easter to you all cheers:) :)

mate if i could throw my 2 cents worth in and say that sweetlip is way better than squire, please dont jump on me but i reckon snapper is the most over rated fish in the sea, like bream but dry and not sweet, very ordinary, anybody else agree?.

Sweeties are nicer in my opinion. Firm white flesh.

Yeah those spotties taste pretty good to me closely followed by sweetlip.
But then again it depends on how the fish is prepared and cooked.
And the best part is the FRESHNESS!!!!
Chief that sure is a nice bream from the jetty.
Cheers Brent

Wind wasn't to bad, there was time when it dropped right off but came up again. Plenty of places around the islands to fish that you wouldn't even know ,if it was blowing .G/day Brent ,i was happy with him .He doesn't look that big in the picture but he did go 38 cm and a solid fish.I think he's been on some of richieboys juice.
