Mooloolaba (land based) at Easter - where to fish?

Any pointers and suggestions on where to fish over the Easter period? Got a few days up and Mooloolaba and I'm allowed out to cast a line by 'her indoors'. :P

plenty of good fish all around mooloolaba weather you go beach/rock wall/ river or easturies. If you want some big stuff get some live bait and hit the groin at night, even the mariner pontoon (near coast guards ) gets some nasty visitors.

what is the groin? i have had success of the rock walls on bait. Has anyone tried live bait of point cartwright and had good results and where abouts do you get livies around there?
